Glass Ornamenting Art
The first Turkish examples dates back to the Suljukian Period in the 6th Century. It underwent some changes subsequent centuries, and with the impact of Europe in the 17th century, there were many variations, and it lived its most bright period at the begining of the 19th century.

About The Trainer
Nurdan Taflıoğlu was born in 27.07.1960. He took 4 years of Gilding education in University of Cerrahpasa, Faculty of TIP, Medical History, along with cloth dyeing and glass painting in miscellenaous courses. She won Turkish Ministry of Culture Special Prize in 2001. Today she makes new products in Istanbul Handicrafts Center and informs the visitors on glass ornamenting. She knows English.
